Yes, to all of this. One of the few men who speak up about the whole Depay & Co. situation.

"Star players like Depay & Co. are not a vulnerable group that needs special protection. These are rich young men with too much ego and money, too little education, limits and consequences. Most of them are only good at one thing and that is playing football.

A lack of conviction does not equate to a lack of guilt. In most cases, unequal financial resources between offender and victim meet, the hurdles are high and the road to a possible conviction is often long and retraumatizing.

'The women only want attention/money': This idiotic argument completely misses the reality of the women who have publicly accused footballers of sexual assault. The reactions are mostly malice, hatred and threats from anonymous internet mobs.

It's not to say that no man has ever been wrongly accused. Which of course is bad and shouldn't happen. But if you're a man who thinks that's the main problem, do yourself a favor and listen to the women in your life.

Everyone has stories. About going home, about going to the stadium, about everything. There is a picture of everyday life that is not visible to men and that too often consists of subtle to very obvious abuse and harassment.

Depay and those jerks who liked the post won't talk about anything that would really help the sport. But when it comes to protecting the broken system they benefit from, they're there. They should just go fuck themselves- especially Jerome Boateng."

here’s your not so gentle reminder that footballers being found not guilty or having charges dropped against them or even having children with their accusers does not mean that they didn’t commit volatile and abusive behavior. it’s in no way shape or form a reason to want them back in professional football and not at all an excuse to not believe women or anyone who is a victim.

I’m still not over Miles’s heartbroken expression when he said “I wanted to be with you guys so badly”

The way his voice cracked and his body posture was slumped. He turned his face away from Peter because he couldn’t bare to look at him.

Miles chose to pursue a career in physics, even though he loves art because it would bring him closer to seeing the rest of the spiders. Yet he found out that everyone, everyone could’ve seen him.

But they couldn’t bare to look at him, to see him, and god that was heartbreaking. That they were so close to him and yet everytime they chose not to see him, to help the boy, the friend who brought love back into their lives.

And when they did come back to him, they weren’t even there to see him. They all left him alone, while they were with the only other people in the multiverse who could’ve understood eachother.

the comment section on neymar's post is one of the reasons why he's never changing. he's surrounded by people who keep enabling him, defending him, babying him, who'll say "amo vocês!! è isso!! parabéns!! irmão!! seja feliz!!" and keeping him wrapped in a bubble of love and support. which is good when he's being unfairly hated or discriminated, but not when he cheats or makes other huge mistakes. they're enablers, dickriders, and if they keep doing it, he'll stay convinced he can do no wrong and continue to do whatever he wants. someone needs to force him into reality.
